Been kind of in a design rut so I’ve been challe Been kind of in a design rut so I’ve been challenging myself to create more fun shit that EYEEEEEE ENJOY ❤️‍🔥 I put everything I have into EVERY design I create, but lately I haven’t had any time to design just for the sake of designing. Decided to take some time away from client work and just design whatever I felt like making and see if the creative juices start flowing heavy again. And I gotta admit, it felt good. SUPER EXCITED to be able to share the final coin d SUPER EXCITED to be able to share the final coin design for Phi Iota Alpha’s 2025 National Convention 🤘🏼🫱🏻‍🫲🏽. I’ve been working on this project on and off over the past few months, and I gotta say the pressure was REAL on this one 😅. Not only am I a proud Phiota myself, this years convention is in my good ol’ home state of Texas🤘🏼🪻…so this design was definitely personal. I put COUNTLESS hours into this design, really trying to create something special that represents our organization, my home state, and our respective cultures 🙏🏽. Another super fun project in the books, this time Another super fun project in the books, this time for Neighborhood Kidz, a Youth Select Basketball Team out of South Washington ⛹🏻🤘🏼. Their coach hmu and was looking for some custom typography with just enough urban razzle-dazzle to appease the young middle schoolers, but not so much to turn off their suburban parents 😅😅. I wanted to keep the typography bold enough to have weight on a jersey but still keep that element of playfulness…they’re still kids y’know 😂. I even through in a little Easter egg for these young Kings 😎👑. The new Photoshop update goes craaazyyy 🤯🤯!! The new Photoshop update goes craaazyyy 🤯🤯!! While it definitely far from perfect, I’m loving the new features. Being able to quickly select certain features is a huge time saver when trying to make masks or selections 🖋️. Pair that with some pretty solid AI Generative Fill…mannnn, this a hard one to complain about. At the end of the day AI isn’t going to replace good designers, and I’m all for saving time on projects 🤘🏼. Check out this mini case-study for @angelinasbaker Check out this mini case-study for @angelinasbakery_ 🧁🤘🏼. 🤘🏼Brief: The Bonilla family reached out because they wanted a brand refresh for their bakery that could potentially attract a new target audience , and that was highly versatile and functional. 🤘🏼Challenge: Keep the same general concept while not losing any of the tradition and/or nostalgia the bakery worked so hard to create. 🤘🏼Solution: The emphasis here was clearly the angel and the “heavenly” motif they referenced heavily in the discovery questionnaire. I completely redesigned the angel to focus more on the prominent features such as the wings, halo, and face. By removing half of the body and repurposing the sky into the negative space, it gave me the angel a bright background to make the other more-subtle elements really stand out.
